We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Network Security Engineer to join our team at Egirna Technologies. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers to support, monitor, and maintain secure network environments for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional with a strong theoretical foundation to gain hands-on experience, receive dedicated technical training, and accelerate their career in cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network security solutions (including firewalls and proxies).
- Monitor network security infrastructure and analyze logs to identify, troubleshoot, and escalate potential technical issues.
- Support the team in implementing security policies, documentation, and access controls.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on security assessments and client support tickets.
- Participate actively in company-provided technical training to stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–1 years of experience or strong academic project exposure in network security.
- Solid foundational understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching).

Familiarity with basic security concepts (Firewalls, VPNs, Access Control Lists).
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and a passion for continuous learning.
- Comfortable using AI productivity tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT) to assist with research, documentation, and learning efficiency.
- Perfect written and spoken English.
Nice-to-Have
- Foundational certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA.

- Previous internship experience in a technical support or networking role
